Compassionate & Mindful Yin Yoga Series

Join us for a 6-week virtual yin yoga class series to support your recovery and well being. Follow along live or with the recording (Note: Only the teacher will be recorded, not the participants).

Yin Yoga helps bring balance and serenity with focused awareness throughout our bodies. Yin is a slow-paced, therapeutic style of yoga that includes passive shapes (or yoga postures), mainly done on the floor either seated or lying down. This is a wonderful practice for reconnecting with our bodies and learning how to be more present.

Each week, a different theme within the realm of emotional healing will be explored through poetry and time for quiet contemplation, all within a supportive and nurturing environment.

This special class series, led by Yoga for Eating Disorders teacher Jessica Grosman will meet on Zoom on Mondays at 11 AM to 12 PM EST on February 7, February 14, February 21, February 28, March 7, and March 14. Join the live class or follow along with the recordings (Note: Only the teacher will be recorded, not the participants). You are welcome to practice with your camera on or off.

These yoga classes are taught from a trauma informed, eating disorder informed, and mental health informed perspective and are accessible for all bodies. All are welcome. No prior yoga or yin yoga experience required.

What People Are Saying About Jessica’s Yin Classes

“I loved participating in this yoga series! I REALLY enjoyed the quotes shared during the yin yoga. Since I wasn't able to join live every class, I also really really appreciated the link to watch the yoga when I could on my time. I also love the life-time access to it! I've decided that I'm going to restart the series on my own and re-listen to the instruction. It has been beneficial in helping me slow down.”
-Haley

“I really loved the weekly class themes. They helped me to focus my mind on the present moment as well as the type of values I want to nurture in my recovery. Jessica always reminded us that it is “my practice/my body” and to honor what my body needs in each moment!” -Susie Voss

“The teacher was brillliant and very responsive when I emailed about my concerns in my joining the live sessions.”-Sandi
