  • Yes, we provide support for individuals with eating disorders. Our intention is to provide safe spaces for individuals in eating disorder recovery to develop new tools and coping strategies through our yoga-inspired programs as they explore emotional and medical work with their outpatient team.

  • Yoga for Eating Disorders is a space for support and community offering yoga therapy, yoga classes, trainings, resources, and more. We are dedicated to providing offerings that draw on the practices and wisdom of yoga to support healing for individuals going through recovery, as well as educate professionals about the role of yoga in eating disorder recovery and create an inclusive community. No matter where you are located in the world, our online programs and community are thriving and here for you.

  • We believe in community as a force for healing and provide welcoming support to people of every body size, age, sex, gender, race, ethnicity, and socioeconomic group. Here, you are not a diagnosis, but a valuable member of our community who deserves to be seen, heard, and validated. Our programs are attended by individuals of ages ranging from teenagers to older adults. Currently, our community is predominantly women, and we are committed to welcoming all seeking support.

  • Yes, we provide a variety of 6-week yoga series throughout the year that teach you how to apply the practices and teachings of yoga to the daily challenges of recovery. We offer yoga and meditation classes, writing courses, book discussion and body image groups, and more. All of our programs are offered on Zoom.

  • Yoga therapy is a holistic healing modality that restores physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. Different from a yoga class in which you follow along with the class, yoga therapy in a private session that focuses on the practices, tools, and philosophies of yoga to support you in your eating disorder recovery journey. Each virtual 1x1 yoga therapy session is customized to meet you where you are and includes centering exercises, discussion, gentle movement, breathing practices, yoga philosophies, and goal setting to foster healing.   • Yes, we are passionate about educating professionals of all backgrounds about the role of yoga in recovery. We offer continuing education workshops on various topics throughout the year. We also offer the Yoga & Eating Disorders Mentoring Group led by our founder Jennifer Kreatsoulas, PhD, C-IAYT and a phenomenal faculty twice a year (March & September).

  • Yes, we provide a variety of free resources, including our weekly free Connection Call for support, the Yoga for Eating Disorders Community Facebook Group, free libraries of yoga practices and guided meditations for eating disorder recovery, and podcast interviews with and articles written by our founder, Jennifer Kreatsoulas, PhD, C-IAYT.

  • No, our services complement your work with a therapist, dietician, and other care providers.

  • Jennifer Kreatsoulas, PhD, C-IAYT is certified by the Yoga Alliance and the International Association of Yoga Therapists. Our teachers and presenters hold a wide array of credentials, ranging from registered yoga teachers to certified meditation teachers, certified yoga therapists, and registered dietitians and therapists. We do not offer dietitian or therapy appointments, but the faculty members with these credentials are also certified in yoga and bring their expertise to our programs.

  • Yes, absolutely. Our yoga teachers and yoga therapists are trained to lead classes and programs that are trauma informed, eating disorder informed, and mental health informed.

  • We currently offer payment plans. Get in touch for more information on payment plans and to request a scholarship.

  • We are based in Pennsylvania, just outside of Philadelphia, in the United States. Because our offerings are virtual, we also serve all 50 states in the US and internationally, with many of our community members located in Canada, Europe, Australia, Africa, and Asia.

  • All of our offerings are online so that no matter where you are located, you can participate in our courses and trainings or work privately with our yoga therapists. Recordings are available for most of our courses and trainings, if you are unable to attend the live classes due to time zone differences or schedule conflicts.
