Trauma Sensitive Yoga in Eating Disorder Recovery

Trauma-sensitive yoga was developed to help students make peace with their body, learn through experience that their body can be effective again, and reclaim their bodies as their own.

This virtual weekend training, co-led by Yoga for Eating Disorders Founder Jennifer Kreatsoulas, PhD, C-IAYT and Trauma Sensitive Yoga Teacher and expert Gina Hartman, RYT, will teach you the principles of trauma-sensitive yoga. You will learn how this specialized type of yoga can help heal and empower people who have experienced trauma, particularly individuals in eating disorder recovery.

This program is for yoga teachers, yoga therapists, mental health professionals, wellness coaches, dietitians, and other professionals who wish to learn how to create trauma sensitive yoga practices for students and clients. Everything taught in this training can be applied in public yoga classes, private client sessions, and the clinical setting.

We will take a deep dive into how yoga aids in the healing of trauma. You will learn how to bring trauma sensitive yoga practices out into the community and change the lives of those who have been impacted by trauma and eating disorders.

The weekend includes:
