Yoga Tools for Eating Disorder Recovery

The ebbs and flows we encounter on the recovery journey can be challenging to navigate. Having tools on board to help us ride the waves is essential, especially tools that help us stay present and connected to our inner strength.

This 6-week virtual series will guide you in building a toolbox of simple yoga practices that you can apply anytime and anywhere. The “yoga tools” you will learn include grounding, breathing, mantra, gentle movement, and more. We will also explore concepts in yoga that lead to self-kindness, acceptance, and inner strength. This series will also teach you how to practically apply these yoga tools in your recovery every day.

This special class series, led by Yoga for Eating Disorders teacher Mikki Johnson, will meet on Zoom on Tuesdays from 12 PM to 1 PM EST on February 20 through March 26. Join the live class or follow along with the recordings (Note: Only the teacher will be recorded, not the participants).

These yoga classes are taught from a trauma informed, eating disorder informed, and mental health informed perspective and are accessible for all bodies. All are welcome. No prior yoga or meditation experience required.

“Mikki is an absolute gem. She has such a loving heart and is so full of wisdom. I feel so honored to know her. She has a way of making you feel so at home and like we’re all human. I felt so connected with every class and really appreciated her efforts to be available outside of class as well.”
