Body Breath Voice: A Practice of Movement & Sound

“It’s not about finding your voice; it's about giving yourself permission to use your voice.”
—Kris Carr

Restoring confidence in our voice and our right to be heard can deeply enrich our recovery journey. You are invited to join us for a 6-week yoga series led by Yoga for Eating Disorders teacher and voice instructor Heather McCornack that combines slow flowing yoga movement, breathing, and the healing nature of sound. Whether it be chanting, humming, sighing or singing, we will include our voice in unique ways each week to bring calm to our nervous system and some levity to our time on the yoga mat. You are welcome to listen and/or participate at your own comfort and in the privacy of your own space.

This class series will meet on Zoom from 10 AM to 11 AM EST on Wednesdays from January 25 through March 1. Join the live class or follow along with the recordings (Note: Only the teacher will be recorded, not the participants). You are welcome to practice with your camera on or off.

These yoga classes are taught from a trauma informed, eating disorder informed, and mental health informed perspective and are accessible for all bodies. All are welcome. No prior yoga or voice/singing experience required.
