Creating pockets of peace amid the daily efforts of recovery is essential to replenish your energy and bring calm to your mind. Just as important is learning how to transform “fight” energy” into a more peaceful mindset as you navigate the challenges of recovery.
In yoga, the archetype of the peaceful warrior is one who relies on virtues like presence, clarity, and resilience to confront life’s twists and turns. The peaceful warrior builds her arsenal of strength, courage, and bravery to overcome fear and attend to the challenges of recovery.
In this yoga workshop, you will learn simple, peaceful yoga practices that restore your energy, build inner strength, calm anxiety, and connect you with your body in compassionate ways. If you are ready to feel more peaceful in your mind, body, and recovery, this yoga workshop is for you.
This 2-hour workshop includes a vibrant mix of discussion, reflection, and yoga practices on the theme of becoming a peaceful warrior in eating disorder recovery. No yoga experience is needed and supports of those attending are welcome.

About Michele & Jennifer
Michele Kabas, LCSW, CEDS, is a psychotherapist and certified eating disorder specialist with over 25 years of experience. She has worked with women throughout her years of practice dealing with Depression, Anxiety and a specialty with Body Image issues and Eating disorders. Michele has been a passionate Yoga practitioner for the past 15 years and also has yoga therapy training. She strongly believes in a mind-body connection and works in a Psycho Spiritual approach incorporating Yoga and Buddhist philosophy. As Eating Disorders are not about the food, her work focuses on helping each individual connect with their true self, accept themselves as they are and find their authentic voice. Jennifer Kreatsoulas, PhD, E-RYT 500, C-IAYT, is a certified yoga therapist specializing in eating disorders and body image. She is an inspirational speaker and author of Body Mindful Yoga: Create a Powerful and Affirming Relationship With Your Body. Jennifer provides yoga therapy via online and in person at YogaLife Institute in Wayne, PA, and leads yoga therapy groups at Monte Nido Eating Disorder Center of Philadelphia. She teaches workshops, retreats, and specialized trainings for clinicians, professionals, and yoga teachers. Jennifer is a partner with the Yoga & Body Image Coalition and writes for Yoga International and Yoga Journal and other influential blogs.
